From Dusk till Dawn in the Corinne Bow dress…
I don’t know about you but I’ve been desperately trying to cling to the last of Summer 2014 these past couple of weeks, I own A LOT of dresses, and this Indian Summer we seem to be having has allowed me to cram as many of these as possible into my day-to-day wardrobe (phew!).

However, a dress is always more useful if you can wear it from work straight to the bar I always find. This means you don’t have to cram a crumpled frock into your handbag for later, and you can be first at the party and don’t miss a round of gins… Boom!

On Friday, I had a day that called for my Corinne Bow dress, it was a delightful sunny day which meant I could team it with my little faux leather sandals and orange lippy – summer tastes. I rocked around town to do some shopping and then straight to a friend’s leaving drinks, all I had to do was throw on a little toucan cardi (Collectif) when it so light!

A little fave feature for me is the pockets, pop your lippy in when you’re off to powder your nose (I opted for an orange mix but with all the colours in the dress any lipstick can match) - I’ma massive fan of dresses with pockets.

I’m wearing a size 10 and it fit all of me in nicely and nipped me in at the waist and highlighted my hips – the skirt is lined and tucks in just above the knee so you won’t be doing a Marilyn and flashing your knickers if it’s a bit blustery. I tied the chiffon bow to the side but you can wrap it round for a smaller knot or do a massive bow slap bang in  the middle.

I particularly lucked out with my hair this day, (I’d curled it the day before and it hadn’t lasted) I backcombed the roots and rolled it under and clipped it with some grips for an hour or so while I was getting ready and hoped for the best. When I brushed it out Bob’s your uncle, it was transformed into a mini 50s, curly do.

Obviously the next day it absolutely chucked it down, but the Corinne’s lovely floral pattern is actually quite autumnal, I recommend some tights and brogues for work, or even bare legs, brown boots and a big fur coat and hat - all the seasons covered. You’ll definitely see me in it on my Instagram in the coming months that’s for sure.

Happy Autumn x
