This weekend I was brave and donned my new light blue Ava shorts for a Rockabilly style time in Brighton’s Hotel Pelirocco. http://www.hotelpelirocco.co.uk
Despite eating my body weight in carnival candies and beach side burgers and gin I was still able to fit into my Ava’s a treat when Sunday came around. I wore a size 10 and they fit perfectly on my waist (26.5”) and the hips are pretty free meaning my legs had lots of freedom and I didn’t have to worry about them digging in and giving the muffin top of the thigh – a big worry of mine when wearing shorts.
All in all the shorts are super flattering for any figures, accentuating curves or even creating them for you if you’re lacking in that department. And if you fancy taking them to more exotic lands, they are 100% cotton so nice and breathable.
I teamed the shorts with my white Dolores top from Collectif and vintage white heels and a light blue head scarf.
My favourite feature about Ava Shorts though, is all the functioning pockets, I’ve said before and I’ll say it again – any garment is improved with pockets. The front pockets are perfect for small change or a lippy and the back pockets mean you can slip your phone in there and go out handbag free.
I’d say they were a bit of an investment actually. I can’t wait to team them with tights and a denim jacket when autumn comes around. But in the meantime, fingers crossed for more sunny days.
